The Role: Automation Shift Lead
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Shift Lead to join our team at our state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Shirebrook. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers to ensure the smooth operation of our automated systems.
- Implement effective planning and scheduling strategies to optimize shift performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring efficient system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive continuous optimization.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- In-depth understanding of automated systems, including conveyor belts, robotics, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
