Product Development Engineer Opportunity

This is an exciting chance for a Product Development Engineer to join a leading FMCG company in Manchester. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative consumer goods, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix, test, develop and improve product formulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and suitability for manufacture.
  • Conduct research on product materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Liaise with customers regularly regarding product performance and improvements.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Support the senior engineers in product development projects.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar Product Development position within a manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG)
  • Experience working in a lab environment.
  • A degree in Product Design Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ideally.
