About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Consultant to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in General and Specialist Medicine, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, diagnosis, management, and treatment for patients with a broad spectrum of medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the medical team
  • Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of medical conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Act as an expert resource for medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Participate in medical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and educate junior doctors and medical learners
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council with a valid license to practice
  • Registration on the GMC Specialist Register-CCT/ CESR or within 6 months of obtaining CCT
  • Wide experience in General and Specialist Medicine
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Good understanding of clinical governance and audit/QI work
