Position Summary
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the Cloud Engineering team. Your main task will be to design secure and highly available infrastructure for the company's cloud-based offerings on AWS.
The team prioritizes automation and employs Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to facilitate rapid and effective deployment across various environments. You will contribute to these initiatives using an array of technologies, including Terraform and Docker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage Automation: Implement infrastructure as code and automation to deliver cloud services across diverse environments, from development to production.
- Collaborate Effectively: Partner with product owners, developers, and testers to create and deploy new services and features.
- Ensure System Reliability: Maintain the availability, reliability, and security of systems and services.
- Enhance Monitoring: Establish robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to swiftly identify and address issues.
- Drive Automation: Promote the automation of workflows and minimize technical debt.
- Foster Knowledge Sharing: Share insights and expertise with the cloud engineering team through organized discussions and thorough documentation.

Qualifications:
Experience: At least 4-5 years in a Cloud Engineering role, ideally within an AWS framework; other cloud environments will also be considered.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Expertise in Cloud Networking and DNS, with a solid understanding of NAT and VPC.
- Familiarity with API management, serverless computing, databases, logging, monitoring, alarms, and user identity and access management.
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and version control systems.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
- Database administration skills.
