Nurse Specialist

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Bradbury House, a health respite in Coventry. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide holistic clinical care to children and young people with a learning disability and complex health needs, including those with Autism.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience working with children and young people with complex needs. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing and clinical care plans in collaboration with the child, family, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing holistic care to children and young people with a learning disability and complex health needs.
- Supporting enhanced packages of care in various settings to prevent and avoid inappropriate hospital admissions.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing and clinical care plans.
- Maintaining awareness of national and local policy and its implications for service delivery and own actions.
- Administering medication in line with CWPT policy and understanding pharmacology.
- Carrying out all relevant aspects of care with minimal supervision, adhering to CWPT policy and NMC guidelines.
- Leading the team on duty and delegating tasks to ensure high-quality care.

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will meet the essential criteria and have a strong background in nursing, experience working with children and young people with complex needs, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
