Job Opportunity: Functional Skills Tutor

TP Tutors is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to provide functional maths and English skills to children in the Hartlepool area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Local Authorities and Schools, making a positive impact on the lives of children accessing education.

The Role:
  • Deliver subject-focused sessions, tailored to meet the needs of each child.
  • Provide constructive feedback, using it to inform future learning plans and enhance children's progress.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each child's needs and interests, using this to create engaging and child-centred learning experiences.
  • Employ various strategies to promote pupil engagement and motivation.
Requirements:
  • Desirable: Professional teaching qualifications and experience working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Two professional references covering a 24-month period of employment from a 10-year career history.
  • An enhanced child workforce-only DBS or willingness to obtain one via TP Tutors.
