Job Title: Finance Assistant

Street Child is a leading children's charity that has made a significant impact on the lives of nearly a million children in under 15 years. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our busy HQ finance function.

Role Purpose:

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in charity finance and develop their skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close. You will work closely with our global finance team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable: Record all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses, and other expenditure in the accounting system, ensuring accurate coding and documentation.
  • Month-End Support: Complete bank reconciliations, upload exchange rates, and ensure supporting information is stored correctly.
  • Accounts Receivable: Support with income reports, donor receipts, and customer account reconciliations.
Person Specification:

We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, strong Excel knowledge, and experience in a similar role. You should be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A degree in a relevant field and part-qualified AAT are desirable.
