Voyage Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service in Halifax. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
- Allocate shifts and tasks to ensure the smooth running of the service, while also supporting the development of our colleagues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of our service users are met.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the service.
- Support the recruitment and induction of new colleagues, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, with a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
