Join Our Team as a Mechanical Engineer Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer Apprentice. As a key member of our Industrial Means and Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in the development and supply of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and tooling for the manufacture, test, and delivery of satellite and spacecraft structures and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, develop, and supply MGSE and tooling to meet customer requirements
  • Work closely with other Manufacturing Assembly, Integration & Test (MAIT) teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and met
  • Convert requirements into hardware, ensuring safety, legal, and company specifications are followed and met
  • Support Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & people activities and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 120-128 UCAS points made up of 3 A levels at B or above, including Maths and a Physics or Engineering-based subject
  • BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering at a minimum of DDM with a Merit or above in Further Maths unit or equivalent subject to validation
  • GCSE Maths and English Language at 4/C or above or equivalent subject to validation
  • Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems
