We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to lead and provide the Infected Blood Psychology Service (IBPS) within the Sheffield Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre (HCCC). This is an exciting opportunity to set up and develop a new service, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to provide high-quality psychological care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and deliver the IBPS within the Sheffield HCCC, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to provide high-quality psychological care to patients and their families.
- Provide clinical leadership to the broader Psychology Service working into Haematology and other associated areas.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote and develop psychological approaches within healthcare settings.
- Work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality psychological care to patients and their families, including those affected by infected blood.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective service delivery and collaboration.
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, as accredited by the HCPC.
- Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Eligible for Practitioner Full Membership of the BPS Divisions of Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Experience of working as a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist at a highly specialist level.
- Experience of working and communicating with a wide variety of patient groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across a range of care settings.
- Experience in the management of services, including the management of psychology staff groups.
- Experience in leading on the promotion and development of psychological approaches within healthcare settings.
- Experience of working clinically within health and medical settings.
- Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing psychological and physical health problems.
