Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Innovation Account Executive to become a vital member of our dynamic Commercial team. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about fostering connections and have a keen eye for identifying new prospects within the climate-tech and sustainability landscape.

Daily Responsibilities:

In this role, your day-to-day activities may involve:

  • Crafting and dispatching outreach communications
  • Engaging in discussions with emerging startups
  • Managing our customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Conducting prospecting efforts on professional networking platforms
  • Analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Participating in industry events and networking opportunities

Role Significance:

The Innovation Account Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Startup Innovation and the Business Development Lead by managing a robust pipeline of opportunities. The primary focus will be on both inbound and outbound sales initiatives related to our service offerings, necessitating close collaboration with various departments including design, research and development, and grants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
    • Executing outreach initiatives, including content creation, email scheduling, and prospecting
    • Conducting meetings with startups to assess their potential and directing them to appropriate internal teams
    • Managing deal flow through our CRM system, converting leads into opportunities
    • Handling inbound inquiries through digital channels
    • Attending external events for startup scouting
    • Collaborating with internal teams
  • Account Management:
    • Building and nurturing relationships with a portfolio of ecosystem partners
    • Identifying new support avenues for ecosystem partners
    • Assisting with CRM administration and follow-ups
    • Representing the organization at internal events

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in similar roles
  • Proven sales experience in both inbound and outbound contexts
  • Familiarity with CRM and outreach tools such as Pipedrive and LinkedIn
  • A strong drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Confidence in making outreach calls and composing professional emails
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in agency business development
  • Background in sustainability innovation
  • A willingness to learn about other functions within the organization
