Trade Counter Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trade Counter Assistant. As a key member of our branch team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and pick orders for stock items, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers, communicating effectively through various channels.
- Ensure all customer requests, orders, and complaints are handled effectively and promptly, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare the trade counter and customer area, ensuring it is fully stocked, clean, and tidy, and effectively presents our products.
- Serve customers at the trade counter, adhering to company standards and requirements.
- Raise sales quotations for customers, providing competitive prices from preferred suppliers and following up on orders.
- Source and order non-stocked items, maintaining stock levels and participating in stock take activities.
- Participate in the call-out rota, responding promptly to urgent issues.
- Confident customer service skills and previous experience in a busy environment, demonstrating the ability to prioritize workload.
- Previous experience as a branch assistant, branch administrator, or administrator, with trade counter or supplier-based experience being beneficial.
