Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our critical care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert critical care to patients with complex cardiothoracic conditions
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their needs and develop effective care strategies
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Experience working in a critical care environment, preferably in a cardiothoracic setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiothoracic anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
