About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trading Lead to join our team at The Very Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering category trading plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category trading strategies to drive revenue growth and improve customer experience.
  • Lead a team of marketing executives to deliver category plans and ensure timely execution.
  • Analyse sales data and customer insights to inform trading decisions and optimize category performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and deliver key initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external brand partners to drive business growth.
  • Manage and prioritize category trading calendars to ensure effective execution and delivery of key initiatives.
  • Deputise for Trade Manager in department store meetings to ensure FSH share of voice is represented.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to inform trading decisions and optimize category performance.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining strong working relationships with external brand partners.
  • Experience leading a team in a high-energy area and driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and drive insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
