Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Service Delivery: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to provide a comprehensive and effective HR service to the organization.
  2. Employee Relations: Oversee employee relations, including complex conflict resolution and disciplinary/grievance procedures.
  3. Professional Development: Demonstrate strong professional credibility and build ongoing relationships as a trusted advisor with managers and leaders.
  4. Core People Processes: Drive core people processes such as ownership of parental leave, probation, and performance reviews.
  5. Coaching and Influencing: Coach, challenge, and influence managers, providing advice and recommendations on all people-related issues.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the People and Reward Manager and HR Business Partners to ensure clear communication, alignment, and consistency of approach.
  7. Employee Engagement: Deal with first and second-level queries from employees regarding general HR and benefits.
  8. Absence Management: Absence monitoring and contact and liaison with employees on sick leave.
  9. Reporting and Analytics: Produce reports and management information from the HR Management System and other sources.
  10. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  11. Process Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  12. Project Support: Provide ad hoc project support.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Proven and significant experience of Advisor level work ideally within a confidential professional services environment.
  2. Education: CIPD level 5/degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  4. Conflict Resolution: A solution-focused approach to conflict resolution.
  5. HR Systems: Proficiency in HR management systems.
  6. Employee Engagement: A proactive approach to employee engagement and wellbeing.
  7. Project Management: Proven ability to plan and implement projects/initiatives.
  8. Analytical Skills: Analytical skills: to quickly evaluate data/situations and reach conclusions.
  9. Relationship Building: Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  10. Attention to Detail: Ability to work with appropriate attention to detail and high standards, whilst still working at pace.
  11. Professional Services Experience: Experience of working in a fast-paced, professional services or legal organization would be highly desirable.
