Job Summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator Lead to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our UK Environment Practice, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of environmental work on multi-disciplinary projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and options appraisals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of environmental work on projects, ensuring high standards of environmental performance and optimal outcomes.
  • Line manage a team of environmental professionals, championing best practices and influencing project development.
  • Collate and edit information from various sources to provide clear, well-written reports, and review the work of others to ensure quality.
  • Manage client needs in a confident, professional manner, and lead on bid preparation and business development.
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development (CPD) to maintain professional certifications.

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject, with Chartership mandatory.
  • Profound relevant post-graduate experience, ideally in a consultancy environment, with experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
  • Experience of leadership within multidisciplinary teams, with strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively under pressure, with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
