Job Summary:

Search is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join our team on a temp to perm basis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within our client's warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload materials and products
  • Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility
  • Stack and organize products and materials in an efficient and safe manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, including inspections and repairs
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials and products moved

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift operator certification or license
  • Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for forlift operation
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver the forklift in tight spaces
  • Physical stamina to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and operating the forklift
  • Attention to detail to accurately record inventory information
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Working Conditions:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Salary: £14.84 per hour
