NAS Recruitment Services Scotland Ltd is seeking a Driver’s Mate for our Motherwell facility. This position is responsible for transporting freight and operating a forklift.

**Essential Duties**
- Operate all necessary equipment to load and unload freight
- Maintain safe and clean operation of the plant by following all procedures, rules, and regularities
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel in the workplace
- Ability to work long hours on a permanent basis, with some flexibility required
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision while managing risk and maintaining safety standards as required by your job function and company policy
- Maintain current knowledge of current events within the industry through on-the-job training or through various sources such as industry publications or company websites

**Experience**:

- 2 years of experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience as a Driver’s Mate preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations per your job function as well as company policy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions due to which ability to make correct decisions based on information available.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision while also being able to manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment operation, industrial materials handling, industrial construction, industrial construction techniques, industrial machinery operation and operation techniques.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

- Motherwell: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
