Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee plant operations at our recycling and waste management facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of operatives, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Supervise a Team: Direct and manage a team of operatives to achieve optimal productivity and minimal downtime.
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel and, when needed, a 360 Wheeled Excavator to move materials and manage site operations.
- Coordinate Daily Tasks: Plan and coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal productivity.
- Monitor Performance: Monitor the plant's operational performance and implement corrective actions when needed to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure Health and Safety: Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Train and Mentor: Train and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with site management to report on performance and any operational issues.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Conduct routine site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role, preferably in recycling, waste management, or a similar environment.
- Skills: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Education: Relevant qualifications or experience in a related field.

- Competitive Hourly Rates: £13.80 per hour (Mon-Fri), £17.25 per hour (Saturday), £20.70 per hour (Sunday).
