Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Lovell Limited. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the engineering and construction of high voltage substation infrastructure for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage two sites concurrently, within the renewable energy industry, focusing on mechanical and electrical phases for 132kV to 400kV substation projects.
- Lead all client interface activities and ownership of deliverables related to engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, and commercial aspects in all scopes of work.
- Ensure a high standard of Health and Safety is maintained throughout the project duration, collaborating with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department when required.
- Provide stakeholder and subcontractor management, and communicate detailed project updates to the client and internal organization.
- Oversee project planning to ensure delivery programs are robust and managed.
- Work with the commercial teams for new project bids and ensure contractual agreements are adhered to or mitigated throughout the project.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within the electrical infrastructure sector.
- Qualified to HNC/ Degree Level in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- Experience working as a project manager on UK substation projects with a value of £15m or more, focusing on 132kV, 275kV, and 400kV projects.
- Willingness to commute to site on a regular basis, estimated 2-3 days on site.
- Project Management-related qualification or training is desirable, such as APM, PRINCE2, or PMI.
- Proven experience with stakeholder management, commercial management, and client interfacing, subcontractor management.
