We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Building and Structural Engineering to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the technical decision-making process for our projects, ensuring that they are aligned with our company's goals and objectives.
  2. Develop and implement construction methods and sequencing to ensure efficient procurement and construction of the works.
  3. Ensure that design output is accurate and checked to ensure information is clear, achievable, buildable, and conforms to methods.
  4. Develop and implement project-specific dimensional control strategies to achieve project-specific KPIs.
  5. Proactively support the interpretation of as-built surveys/installations and ensure they are checked prior to construction of follow-on activities.
  6. Provide performance management of direct/indirect reports, providing technical and career development and coaching.
  7. Accountability for the technical aspects of a project, including driving innovations and technical developments.
Requirements:
  1. Overall responsibility for the technical/structural aspects of the project, leading the project technical decision-making process.
  2. Experience in developing construction methods and sequencing.
  3. Ability to check design output to ensure that information is clear, complete, achievable, buildable, and conforms to methods.
  4. Responsible for ensuring that company and project quality requirements and procedures are implemented.
  5. Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
