We are currently looking for a Procurement Sourcing Specialist to lead our sourcing initiatives. This pivotal role will be instrumental in transforming our supply chain and ensuring the effective delivery of solutions across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute category strategies while managing supplier partnerships to align procurement processes with organizational goals regarding cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that sourced materials and services effectively meet operational needs.
  • Work alongside Engineering teams to establish standardized product structures that simplify product allocation across the supply chain.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, while monitoring global conditions that may affect supply chain stability.
  • Proactively seek new local and regional capacities, exploring innovative technologies and capabilities available in the market.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and product enhancement while ensuring compliance with production and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and fostering strong customer-supplier relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance in procurement practices and address any identified gaps.
  • Manage supplier selection and validation processes, establishing effective pricing structures with key suppliers.
  • Perform detailed cost analyses of components and manufacturing processes to ensure optimal quality at the lowest cost.
  • Engage in negotiations with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes, fostering positive relationships and developing mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and devise mitigation strategies, ensuring suppliers meet regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Achieve favorable contractual conditions while maintaining internal customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate contracts to optimize pricing, terms, and lead times, enhancing overall value.
  • Collaborate across various organizational levels and regions to achieve sourcing objectives.
  • Act as the Procurement liaison for new product launches, managing sourcing activities to meet project goals.
  • Perform any additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficient in supplier selection and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a robust pipeline.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
  • A minimum of five years of procurement experience in the engineering or materials handling sector.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the engineering or materials handling industry.
  • Familiarity with IFS systems.
  • APICS Certification or CIPS qualification.
