About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our CCA Manufacturing support business area in Glenrothes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvements and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development and Implementation: Develop and implement robust and repeatable manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products.
  • Equipment Ownership and Maintenance: Take ownership of process and equipment performance, driving continuous improvements and addressing quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal customers, including Design, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams, to understand drawing and build requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in areas such as machine program generation, platform support, and rework processes.
  • Quality and Reliability: Drive zero-defect quality levels and achieve on-time delivery targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use data analysis techniques to proactively identify and address issues, driving systemic RC/CA.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Report and maintain process and equipment engineering metrics, tracking performance and yields against team KPIs and individual goals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of HNC in an electronics-related subject (HND/degree preferred) and significant experience in electronic circuit card assembly processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electronic circuit card assembly processes, including Jet Dispensing systems, 3D SPI, Underfill, and Conformal Coating Dispensing systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to process data efficiently to provide solutions to problems.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to mentor colleagues, work unsupervised, and communicate effectively with internal customers.
  • IT and Software: Strong knowledge of IT systems and general software applications.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in High-Reliability Environments: Experience working in high-reliability electronic assembly environments, such as defense, medical, or aerospace.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of Mycronic My700, Koh Young 3D SPI, Nordson Asymtek, PDR/PCBRM, and PFMEA.
  • Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma: Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma principles.
  • SAP and Shopfloor Data Collection: Knowledge and experience of SAP and shopfloor data collection systems.
