Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ingredion UK Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by performing routine maintenance activities, identifying and resolving technical issues, and implementing improvements to our maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal plant performance.
    • Identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.
  • Corrective Maintenance
    • Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Perform repairs and replacements as needed to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Improvement Initiatives
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of plant equipment, systems, and processes.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in maintenance and reliability.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Effectively communicate with production personnel, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or relevant experience.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficient with computers and CMMS systems (SAP experience preferred).
    • Basic understanding of PLCs and instrumentation.
    • Some fabrication and welding skills.
    • HNC qualified and/or IOSH qualified.
