Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Maintenance Specialist include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of the entire facility, including equipment and production machinery in the vegetable processing sector.
  • Providing both reactive and scheduled maintenance for food production machinery, including chillers, mixers, and conveyor systems.
  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of multi-skilled engineers.
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts to prioritize urgent repairs effectively.
  • Ensuring the successful execution of planned maintenance activities.
  • Contributing to the overall health and safety standards of the facility.
  • Assisting with all installation projects related to the building's infrastructure.
  • Offering recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Monitoring, ordering, and managing inventory levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to health and safety.
  • Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pm.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising a multi-skilled engineering team, preferably in the food production industry.
  • Proven background as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer within manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Experience in performing multi-skilled repairs in mechanical and/or electrical engineering settings.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and maintaining a productive work environment.
  • Proficient command of the English language.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and courteous demeanor.
