Senior Flood Risk Consultant

Currently, the organization is in search of a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to be part of their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and a high level of proficiency in flood risk management, contributing to projects in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will oversee project teams, leveraging your knowledge in flood risk assessment and management to deliver effective solutions.


Project Oversight:

Direct and coordinate small teams of professionals on diverse flood risk projects, ensuring successful and timely execution.


Design and Evaluation:

Employ advanced software tools to assess and model flood risk scenarios, including surface water management and drainage systems.


  • Develop and review comprehensive Flood Risk Assessments, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and industry standards.

Quality Control:

Client Engagement:
Serve as the main liaison for clients, offering technical insights and updates regarding project developments.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work alongside local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and execution.

Regulatory Compliance:
Guarantee that all flood risk assessments and strategies align with local, national, and international regulations and guidelines.

Mentorship:
Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Sustainability Commitment:
Advocate for sustainable flood risk management practices that align with environmental goals and enhance community resilience.
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required. A master's degree or relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.

Extensive experience in flood risk management, with a proven history of leading teams and managing multiple projects.


  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for flood risk assessment is essential.

Analytical Expertise:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and devise innovative solutions.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in team management and project coordination.
