Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Catch22 College in Maidstone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver lesson plans and activities.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with behavioral and emotional support for students.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • At least a Level 2 Qualification in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, SEN, and safeguarding of children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with students with complex needs.
  • Determination to raise student achievement.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an alternative provision environment.
  • Understanding of curriculum requirements, particularly literacy and numeracy.
  • Evidence of successful work with disaffected and emotionally vulnerable students.

Working Conditions:

37 hours per week, term time only (41 weeks). Permanent contract.
