Role Summary
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is committed to enhancing community trust through the delivery of fair, thorough, transparent, and ethical policing. Our mission is to ensure community safety by diligently pursuing offenders and prioritizing the needs of victims through outstanding local policing.
With a presence in 15 police stations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, our Front Counters team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to the public and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Police Contact Enquiry Officer, you will be tasked with:
- Providing an efficient and effective front counter service to the public.
- Critically assessing enquiries and gathering information through face-to-face interactions, telephone follow-ups, and electronic systems.
- Utilizing a full UK driving license for travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with access to pool cars for this purpose.
- Demonstrating proven experience in a fast-paced customer service or public service environment.
- Exhibiting strong clerical skills, both paper-based and electronic, including the ability to generate high volumes of diverse documentation.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with confidence.
- Possessing knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software and demonstrating proficiency in using IT equipment.
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals who are qualified to QCF Level 2 or possess comparable work experience. Your ability to manage enquiries effectively and provide excellent service will be crucial in this role.
