Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced Import/Export Compliance Specialist to enhance our Logistics team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth coordination of customs activities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Import and Export operations, ensuring adherence to HM Revenue & Customs regulations and relevant governing bodies.
- Collaborate with legal experts to verify Export controls and licensing prerequisites.
- Ensure compliance with all HMRC duty obligations while striving to minimize costs.
- Engage with customers, suppliers, agents, and customs authorities to resolve any inquiries or issues that may arise.
- Handle extensive data entry tasks efficiently, particularly utilizing spreadsheets.
- Process customs entry amendment requests to HMRC as necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years' experience in Import/Export operations.
- Proficiency in the CDS system and a solid understanding of Customs Compliance and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of customs requirements, particularly concerning UK & EU imports, along with experience in HMRC amendments and claims.
- Familiarity with transit procedures and ETSF, as well as experience in road transport, logistics, or haulage.
Skills and Attributes:
The successful candidate will be:
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage their workload effectively.
- Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Compensation: The successful Import/Export Compliance Specialist will receive a competitive salary of up to £28,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
