Job Title: Senior Legal Director

CONMED is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Director to lead our international legal team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to support the commercial focus of our international business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement the legal strategy for CONMED's operations in EMEA, Asia, and Australia.
  2. Provide expert legal advice on complex commercial transactions, compliance, and risk management.
  3. Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Manage a team of lawyers and provide guidance on legal matters.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  6. Support corporate matters, including acquisition integration, marketing, sourcing, compliance, and special projects.
Requirements:
  1. Top academic credentials and admission to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
  2. 12+ years of experience in-house as counsel for a global company within the life sciences technology industry.
  3. Experience with requirements of US publicly traded companies and FCPA requirements.
  4. Significant experience managing marketing and distribution matters, including distribution contracts, acquisitions (due diligence and integration), compliance, investigations.
  5. Fluency in written/spoken English.
