School Youth Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our client school in Manchester, supporting the personal development of students aged 11-16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one guidance and mentorship to students facing personal or academic challenges, developing tailored action plans to address their specific needs.
  • Group Activities: Organize and facilitate group activities promoting teamwork, communication skills, and emotional resilience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, counsellors, and other staff members to identify students who may benefit from additional support.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and community organizations to create a network of support for students.
  • Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of student interactions and progress, regularly assessing the effectiveness of interventions.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in youth work, social work, education, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with young people in educational or community settings.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by adolescents today.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
