Electrical Systems Engineer for Satellite Test and Integration

**Role Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Guidant Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and analysis of electrical and functional tests on satellite systems and instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform electrical and functional tests on various subsystems, including power, communications, data handling, attitude and orbit control, system control, and fault detection, isolation, and recovery.
- Write and execute electrical integration procedures to verify and connect equipment during spacecraft build.
- Interpret electrical, functional, and system test requirements from test specifications.
- Develop and implement test solutions to meet test specification requirements, from planning to execution.
- Close out tests with post-test reviews and test reports.
- Provide technical inputs to project test reviews, including test readiness reviews, post-test reviews, and non-conformance review boards.
- Develop and debug automatic test procedures (ATPs).
- Prepare and execute spacecraft system investigations in line with actions from non-conformance review boards.
- Support spacecraft systems functional and performance tests during environmental testing.
- Work in accordance with company and departmental procedures, including quality and security.
- Utilize digital design and manufacturing systems (DDMS) to prepare and execute work instructions to support testing.
Skill Set:
- Minimum of a degree in an electrical engineering-related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role (more than 5 years).
- Current hands-on experience in writing test sequences/scripts for execution of spacecraft tests from the central checkout system (CCS).
- Test sequence writing and debugging in a bespoke language (C and Java knowledge would be an advantage).
- Competent in the use of various test equipment used for electrical measurements, such as DMM, oscilloscope, current probes, data acquisition unit, and data bus monitors.
- Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and overall system operation, including power, communications, data handling, attitude and orbit control, system control, and fault detection, isolation, and recovery.
- Knowledge and experience of spacecraft systems and subsystem testing, including data handling, packet utilization standard, data bus communications, and power systems.
- Working knowledge of satellite TMTC databases.
- Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Awareness of cleanroom disciplines.
- Will to support shifts and travel on test campaigns.
Desirable Skills:
- Programming and scripting languages, particularly writing and debugging Linux/Unix bash scripts.
- Knowledge of a programming language such as C, Java, Python, TCL, or VBA.
- Spacecraft electrical and harness knowledge.
