Head of HSEQ Rail Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of HSEQ Rail to lead our client's health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) team in the rail industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HSEQ management, with experience in leading teams and implementing HSEQ strategies in rail construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the HSEQ team in developing and implementing HSEQ strategies and policies in rail construction environments.
  2. Ensure compliance with rail HS&E requirements and statutory legislation.
  3. Investigate accidents and incidents, and determine root causes.
  4. Develop and deliver HSEQ training to employees and subcontractors.
  5. Collaborate with teams, clients, stakeholders, and supply chain to ensure effective HSEQ management.

Requirements:

  1. Chartered H&S professional (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
  2. In-depth knowledge of rail HS&E requirements and statutory legislation.
  3. Experience leading HSEQ teams in rail construction environments.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with teams, clients, stakeholders, and supply chain.
  5. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Desirable:

  1. NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management.
  2. IRCA certified lead auditor (HS&E).
  3. Computer literate.
  4. Knowledge of TfL QUENSH condition/requirements.
