Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide high-quality psychological services to children and young people with diabetes in East Kent. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work alongside our senior psychologist in the team to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.

Main Duties

The post holder will provide psychological services to children and young people with diabetes and related health conditions, addressing psychological issues associated with diabetes. This will involve outpatient-based assessment and intervention, as well as some inpatient work. The psychologist will be based in the Paula Carr Diabetes Centre with the Children's Diabetes Team and will provide clinics at other locations across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and intervention with children and families
  • Deliver group work, staff training, consultation, and support
  • Contribute to training of other professionals and multi-agency liaison
  • Participate in service evaluation and audit
  • Provide supervision to undergraduate placement students and clinical psychologists in training
