Job Title: Third in Charge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third in Charge to join our Bright Horizons Finsbury Park nursery team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and education to our children, while also supporting the overall success of the nursery.

About the Role

As Third in Charge, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of Early Years professionals to provide high-quality care and education to our children. You will also act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of our children at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Early Years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of our children.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe working environment.
  • Promote the nursery to current and potential parents to support retention and occupancy growth.
  • Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs.
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
