Location: The Clapham Day Nursery & Pre-School, Peardon Street

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Third in Charge to join our team at The Clapham Day Nursery & Pre-School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, providing high-quality care and education to our children, and supporting the development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to our staff team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery, including health and safety, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with our management team to develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of our care and education, and to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that our nursery is a safe and welcoming environment for all children, staff, and visitors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
  • Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years.
  • Over 6 months' experience working in a senior position.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
