About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. The successful candidate will be working with students aged 4-16 who have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school and have knowledge of SEND, including learning and behavioural needs. They will be able to handle challenging situations calmly and have good initiative, as well as being a caring, patient, and dedicated individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing general classroom support to students
  • Offer 1:1 support to students as needed
  • Manage behaviour and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor students during break times and meal times
  • Prepare activities and materials for lessons
  • Provide emotional support to students with SEN
