Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to become part of our Gateshead SENDIASS Team in the capacity of a Youth Support Facilitator (Project Worker 2), contributing 7.4 hours weekly to our SENDIAS Service.
Key Responsibilities: The Project Worker 2 will play a vital role in representing the Gateshead SENDIAS Service in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice 2015 and the Children's & Families Act 2014.
The primary focus of this role is to connect with children and young individuals up to the age of 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), while also offering unbiased information, guidance, and support to their families as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND and their families.
- Ability to communicate effectively, confidently, and accurately with children, young people, and their families, maintaining an objective and non-judgmental approach.
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop professionally.
