Role Summary
The Regional Programme Coordinator (RPC) will support the MENA/Europe Regional Programme Team, ensuring strategic and impactful programming. Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer, the RPC will assist in various aspects of country program and grant management. This role is crucial in linking field operations with headquarters resources and representing regional interests to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
- Coordinate proposal efforts, monitoring timelines and statuses while communicating with relevant parties.
- Contribute to proposal content, ensuring alignment with donor priorities and requirements, and manage submissions.
- Draft and consolidate proposal sections, collaborating closely with country teams.
Program and Grant Management
- Oversee monitoring of grants and programs, ensuring compliance with both external and internal policies.
- Conduct regular assessments of program statuses and grant requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for donor representatives.
- Support country teams in adhering to Mercy Corps' internal policies and standards.
External Engagement
- Represent regional interests to external stakeholders, in collaboration with country office teams.
Strategic Planning and Learning
- Assist country teams in strategy formulation and planning.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning across country portfolios.
Internal Communication
- Support internal communications and maintain accurate knowledge management systems.
Qualifications
- Experience in proposal development and management of European-funded grants.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Relevant educational background; advanced degrees preferred.
- Field experience in international relief and development.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience in MENA/Europe is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
