Position Overview
The Lyndhurst Surgery is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This role involves working 16 hours per week during specified hours to provide a welcoming and efficient reception service for our patients and visitors, while also delivering essential administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Effective communication is crucial in this position, as you will be the link between patients, the primary healthcare team, and other healthcare entities.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a healthcare setting, strong IT capabilities, and familiarity with relevant software systems. Flexibility and reliability are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing reception duties,
- Handling incoming calls,
- Scheduling appointments,
- Assisting with patient inquiries,
- Performing additional administrative tasks related to the practice (including managing prescriptions, patient referrals, registrations, recalls, stock checks, and message taking).
We pride ourselves on being a friendly practice located in a modern facility.
We are looking for a proactive individual to enhance our team. A pleasant telephone demeanor and experience in public interactions are essential. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. However, a competent level of IT skills is required.
About Our Practice
The Lyndhurst Surgery is a small, progressive practice serving a patient population of approximately 5000 individuals.
Our team consists of 2 Partners, 3 Locum GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, and 1 Clinical Pharmacist, supported by a committed administrative team.
We are an accredited training practice, dedicated to teaching and supporting medical students at various stages of their education.
Work Schedule
The position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts.
