Salary: £32,000 - £33,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Team Leader to join our team in Durham. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining excellent relationships with our manufacturing sites and retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of drivers and ensure they are equipped to handle daily tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation legislation, including Operator License, H&S, and tacho regulations.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites and retail partners to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Update driver and vehicle information, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support with driving duties when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Class 2 driving license.
  • Management and people experience.
  • Ability to work across different shifts.
  • Excellent performance under pressure.
  • Good time management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills with a strong understanding of utilizing MS Office Suite and other IT software.
