Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Team Leader to join our team at EG Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing all transport-related activities and ensuring the effective running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of our transport team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve transport operations, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with our manufacturing and retail partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination of transport activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation and regulations, including health and safety, driver hours, and tacho regulations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of transport activities, including driver and vehicle information.
  • Support the Transport Manager in the development and implementation of transport policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Class 2 driving license.
  • Management and people experience.
  • Ability to work across different shifts.
  • Excellent performance under pressure.
  • Good time management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills with a strong understanding of utilizing MS Office Suite and other IT software.
