About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned HR & Recruitment Officer to join our team at Tate Hitchin. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a pivotal role in owning the internal recruitment process and supporting the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Internal Recruitment Coordination:
    • Secure internal approval for vacancies
    • Craft job descriptions
    • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies
    • Engage with internal and direct candidates
    • Coordinate interviews, provide feedback, and manage outcomes
    • Extend job offers, gather onboarding documentation, and conduct reference checks
  • HR Support:
    • Deliver on-site induction training for new hires
    • Oversee training and development initiatives
    • Administer the Apprenticeship Levy Fund, supporting early-stage apprenticeships and enhancing staff qualifications
    • Foster relationships with training providers
    • Handle leaver and retirement processes
    • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and implement necessary policy changes
    • Assist with disciplinary and grievance meetings
Requirements:
  • Hold a professional HR qualification (CIPD preferred)
  • Bring experience in internal HR and recruitment (essential)
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office and HR systems
