About the Role

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Estates Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out grounds maintenance works to maintain a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
  • Ensure the site is kept clean and clear of litter, and maintain internal courtyards.
  • Assist the Environment Operative with external grounds/garden maintenance.
  • Undertake maintenance within the hospital environment, completing planned maintenance dockets and defect dockets.
  • Assist with other building-related tasks, as well as mechanical and electrical building services in plant rooms and ward areas.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in grounds maintenance.
  • Two years' site experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Adaptable to change.
