We are recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a leading, very well-established furniture design and manufacturing business. The company produces high-end furniture for a large portfolio of renowned interior designers for residential and commercial projects, including high-end residential, restaurants, and luxury yachts.
Due to sustained growth, the business is looking to add an experienced Project Manager with exceptional time management and organizational skills to join their talented team.
Key responsibilities will involve:
- Maintaining project documentation, such as plans and reports
- Assigning tasks and controlling schedules
- Communicating project progress to team members and stakeholders
- Managing project information flow between the company and clients
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and supporting the Head of Projects
- Developing furniture project plans and managing them from start to production
- Monitoring project schedules, ensuring due dates and workshop completion dates are met
- Processing sales orders and generating comprehensive specifications for design and production
- Providing support within the Projects Team
- Liaising with clients to ensure critical information is understood and transferred to the Scheduling system and specifications
- Liaising with the Head of Projects to identify project risks and ensure smooth project execution
- Cross-checking client purchase orders against invoicing and ensuring all aspects of projects, from sampling to quality control, are managed to achieve stable project health
Requirements for the Project Manager role include:
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and keep staff on task
- Propensity for multi-tasking and deadline-driven work
Candidates with experience working as a Project Manager in the furniture or interiors industry are preferred but not essential.
The role offers a competitive salary based on experience, 33 days holiday per year inclusive of public holidays, and opportunities for ongoing career advancement in a friendly team environment.
