Job Description

The Chef de Cuisine will play a crucial role in leading the savory department, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include:

Operations and Facilities
  • Manage all kitchen operations, supervising staff and solving problems as needed.
  • Direct savory food production and service, focusing on quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with FOH managers to manage savory food packing and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to Sofra's standards in every aspect of food production and beyond.
Menu Development
  • Create and develop menu items for the savory menu and specials, working closely with the Executive Chef.
  • Assist in developing menu items and recipes, implementing final products.
HR and Training
  • Assist with scheduling kitchen staff and hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
  • Develop training materials and strategies to ensure all staff remain current and effective.
Finance
  • Manage inventory and assist with completion of monthly inventory reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet the company's financial objectives.
Leadership and Communication
  • Lead kitchen communication and maintain strong relationships between departments.
  • Meet with Business Owners, Operations Manager, and Sofra Managers regularly for consultation and coordination.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Sous Chef role.
  • Ability to work full-time (roughly 50 hours/week).
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and positive attitude.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
