GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lincoln. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with our classroom teachers to provide individualized support and enhance the learning experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with the delivery of instructional materials and activities.
- Support students in their learning by providing one-to-one or small group assistance as needed.
- Help with classroom management and maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Prepare and organize classroom resources and materials for lessons.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading and record-keeping.
- Monitor and support students' progress, providing feedback and encouragement.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- Basic knowledge of classroom management techniques and educational best practices.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools is a plus.
