CK Group is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead the EHS department at their Chemical company sites in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental sciences, health and safety management, or an engineering discipline, and significant experience in the health and safety department of an active COMAH site. Key responsibilities include ensuring the effectiveness of the EHS department, continuously improving EHS standards, and promoting a positive approach to health and safety. The successful candidate will also be responsible for accident and incident investigations, risk management, and leading audits. The company is a world leading manufacturer of polymers and specialist synthetic resins, with sites in Standish and Wigan. The role will involve working closely with the process safety team to assist with process hazard assessments. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH diploma and IOSH membership. The company is committed to promoting a positive approach to health and safety and is looking for a professional who can lead by example. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing EHS training and will work closely with the team to ensure that EHS standards are consistently met.
