You will manage your own caseload of patients across both wards, providing specialized support to patients with cognitive communication difficulties, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and improved communication outcomes.", "Key Responsibilities": "Conduct specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) assessments and treatments for patients with physical, cognitive, communication, and behavioural challenges caused by neurological injuries. Develop evidence-based therapy programmes, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups. Maintain high standards of clinical care in accordance with national guidelines for excellence. Act as Named Therapist to ensure cohesive goal-setting, therapy coordination, and discharge planning. Provide formal supervision to less experienced SLTs and/or assistants as required. Play an active role in the induction and training of other interdisciplinary team (IDT) members. Uphold all relevant codes of practice and regulations. Contribute to the implementation and review of SLT-related policies and service development initiatives. Ensure the safety and protection of patients' human rights.", "Requirements": "HCPC registration. Experience in a neurorehabilitation setting. Expertise in managing aphasia, cognitive communication disorders, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia. Specialist dysphagia competency according to the RCSLT framework.
