We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Manager in one of our nursing homes. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and deputising in their absence.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective management and supervision of a team of nursing and care staff, promoting positive outcomes for our customers and ensuring the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support.
You will have a strong background in nursing and leadership, with experience of managing a team and providing direct personal and social care. You will also have a good understanding of the CQC Single Assessment Framework and be able to ensure that the service is fully compliant with health and safety management and statutory obligations.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support, and who is able to work flexibly to meet the needs of our customers. If you have a strong leadership style, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent care, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective management and supervision of a team of nursing and care staff
- Support the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence
- Ensure the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided
- Ensure compliance with health and safety management and statutory obligations
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care qualification)
- Experience in managing a team of nursing and care staff
- Experience of providing direct personal and social care
- Experience in working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities
- Flexibility to work rostered hours
